Swedish Metal Band Gets It's Own Slot

Sabaton is a hugely popular power metal band from Sweden, and anyone who didn’t already know that soon will, because a brand new Sabaton slot game has recently been launched by leading developer Play’n GO. This new slot is the first branded title from Play’n GO, and as you would expect from one which features a power metal band, it is as loud and energetic as slots games get.

Theme and Format

Sabaton is a band which likes to sing about war and heroism, and this game is similarly themed. It has five reels which are located on the front of a tank, and symbols include a grenade, sword and shield, head armour, flight helmet, band members (with lead singer Joakim Brodén serving as a wild), and the letter S from the Sabaton name, which serves as a scatter.

One game symbol will be randomly selected for each spin to be stacked, and a Chained Reels feature will – at random points - chain two or three adjacent reels together. Another great feature is the Last Stand, which sees one or two reels get fully stacked with wild symbols.

The artwork in this game is superb, and takes its inspiration from the visual aesthetic of the band as expressed through their album covers, music videos and stage shows. Audio, of course, plays a large role in this game, and the soundtrack features plenty of the music that Sabaton fans have come to know and love.

Other Special Features

Get anything from three to eight scatter symbols on the reels at the same time and each scatter will be transformed into a random symbol, which could make it easier for you to land a winning combination. Get nine scatter symbols on the reels and you will trigger a Battalion Spins round which will award you seven free spins.
